Key Responsibilities

The selected Individual Consultant will provide multidisciplinary expert services to link scientific research directly with public policy reforms. Primary focus areas include:

Disability Inclusion & Policy Reform

• Design, evaluate, and strengthen policy implementation frameworks to scale up disability inclusion initiatives in Zimbabwe.

Youth Mental Health Research

• Analyze, expand, and lead interventions regarding youth mental health across Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Climate Change & Socio-Economic Impact Studies

• Lead specialized research into the socio-economic impacts of climate change within transboundary communities, with a core focus on Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this advisory role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and professional skills:

• Eligibility: Must be a national of a Southern African country or hold active authorization to work in Southern African territory.
• Expertise: Proven academic and professional track record in social sciences, environmental studies, climatology, or public policy development.
• Core Skills: In-depth knowledge of policy reform, disability inclusion programs, youth mental health research methodologies, and socio-economic impact analysis.
