Job Summary

The Pesticide Regulatory Expert will lead the implementation of a project designed to strengthen pesticide registration systems and maximum residue level (MRL) establishment across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, at both bilateral and regional levels. The role will promote science-based and risk-based regulatory approaches that are aligned with international standards and the guidance of recognized international standard-setting bodies, supporting harmonization, regulatory efficiency, and enhanced market access. The position will be managed through CABI Malaysia, and contribute to the CABI's larger Pesticide Risk Reduction portfolio. She/he will significantly contribute to knowledge related to pesticide registration and MRLs, working closely with relevant government agencies in the implementing Southeast Asia countries. She/he will lead and support development of project concepts/proposals for business continuity in the areas of Pesticides and/or MRLs in collaboration with project partners with a view to supporting increased technical capacity across regional communities in Asia to develop harmonized MRL standard for regional trade among countries.
